Preconditioning of HHO SS 304L plates

Hi,Can anyone provide me step by step process to "pre-condition" the Stainless

steel plates?I did the following step :

1)I put an x-pattern using 36-grade coarse sandpaper i.e First in Horizontal
Direction then in Vertical direction
2)I used 10% solution of NAOH (i.e 10gms NAOH in 900ml BOILED WATER) and remove
the plates after the solution cooled down to room temperature,
3)Put the plates in White Vinegar for whole night.
4)Remove the plates from Vinegar, clean and then rinse with distilled water.
(I wore Rubber gloves through-out the p[rocess)
But when I run the same plates HHO generator for 45-50mins using 85gm of KOH in
850ml. of distilled water, all the plates become very black(redish)..I don't
understand where I am doing wrong? please help me to overcome this problem.
Thanks in advance

316l or 304 ss plates
by: kavyan G

Its best to use 316l stainless steel plates rather than 304 stainless steel because 316l plates can handle more chemical reactions than 304 plates because of its metal composition and its quality.

pwm

Hi,

I have build 7 plates (2 power plates & 5 neutral plates) 304ss ghost generator.
4.5" x 4.5" plates of. 8 mm thickness. 3 mm thick neoprene rubber gasket used. Naoh 2 teaspoon for 500 ml dn water.

Power supply 12volt dc. My cell producing 30 ml gas at less than one amp. My question is how can I get maximum gas output from my cell. Do I need pwm?

Thanks

Suneel

Thanks granmar

Hi granmar,
Thanks for your help. After going through everything I agree with you that best solution is to use 316L plates instead of 304.I'll use 316 plates and update you.Once again thanks for the hel.

Hi:

Putting any 'roughness' on the 316L gauge stales shell plates is very good. No need to boil or etch or anything else!

When using your plates in an HHO generator, you need approximately 1 LPM of high grade HHO to any ICE motor up about 3.5 liters and 1.5 LPM for unto 6 liters (gasoline OR diesel!

The secret is the AMPS draw! About 12-14 AMPS per LPM is more than enough for HHO supplies, but you MUST USE Distilled water! Not boiled water! You may use NaOH or KOH - both are excellent electrolyte catalysts for use with HHO generators.

Try to minimize voltage leakage between the plates in your generator. Voltage leakage allows boiling of electrolyte, steam generation and little effective HHO. Keep it cool, Man! As far as I know, the discoloration is caused by the vinegar and other impurites.

I would need a complete diagram with details of your generator in order to properly diagnose what is going wrong. Above are just some bits of advice that might help, but without seeing and knowing, it is like a doctor who is asked to diagnose a blind man on radio!

Good Luck
