How the plates connect

I have read many things on hydrogen generators and how to build them and false promises etc.

My questions is for inside the device, are the plates or wires attached together, is red and black attached to the same plate? just opposite sides?

Hello,

The plate array inside of a hydrogen generator.
The negative (cathode) and positive(anode) are not connected, they would short out. There are a lot of other things to make up an efficient generator. The hydrogen generator design is very important.
Spacing, voltage leaks, materials, resistance and more..
