Hi, a 1-liter engine does not require much HHO gas. About 0.7 litres of HHO which is 2:1 hydrogen to oxygen, or 0.462 liters hydrogen to 0.231 liters oxygen. This should give sufficient catalyst for excellent burning of fuel increased from about 32% to about 90% efficiency.

Do not forget, you are not so much BURNING Hydrogen, as you are helping the gasoline or diesel fuel to burn efficiently!
