Gas Saving Tips

GET IT FIXED Dual Edge MAP Seneosr Enhancer

The first and most important gas saving tip. To enjoy the full benefits of HHO Gas from your hydrogen generator you must start with a healthy clean running vehicle. Have your car tuned and checked by a good mechanic at least once a year. If something isn't working or doesn't sound right, get it fixed, you will come out ahead in the long run.

TIRE PRESSURE

Check your tire pressure at least once a month, when they are cold. Warm air from driving increases pressure and gives falsely high readings. Under-inflated tires have more resistance so your car burns more gas to keep the vehicle moving.

Good wheel alignment is also just as important. You can save approximately 6% in gas savings.

Don't loose your grip. Over-inflating your tires will give you slightly better gas mileage because less tread is on the road (less friction), but you loose grip for turning and braking.

CHECK YOUR GAS CAP

One of the often overlooked gas saving tips. Damaged, loose or missing gas caps cause a yearly loss of approximately 147 million gallons.

DON'T OVERFILL YOUR GAS TANK

This may cause gas spillage, especially if your cap is behind the license plate. So, when the pump goes click - don't top it off.

EARLY BIRD GETS THE WORM

Fill up in the morning or at dawn when the underground storage tanks are colder the gasoline is denser, which equals more mass of gasoline per gallon. Gasoline expands with heat, which equals less gas per gallon. Also gas stations sometimes raise their prices as the day goes by.

DON'T FILL UP WHEN THEY ARE

Dirt and sludge is probably being stirred up when a tanker truck is filling the stations tank. You don't want that to transfer into your tank.

AGGRESSIVE DRIVING

Edmonds ran a test and found this to be the most significant way to save gas. No jackrabbit starts. Take the long view of the road and brake easy. Don't drive like a maniac. An average of 31 % savings.

CHOOSE TO CRUISE

Saves an average of 7%. Evens out the drivers acceleration and changes the way the driver reacts to changes in traffic around them.

SLOW DOWN

Lower speeds save gas, it has been proven many times. Speeding tickets aren't cheap either.

CHANGE OIL And AIR FILTERS

Change your oil. Clean oil reduces wear caused by friction between moving parts and removes harmful substances from the engine. Your car's air filter keeps impurities in the air from damaging internal engine components. Clogged filters can cause up to a 10 % increase in fuel consumption.

LOOSE WEIGHT

Not you personally, but by removing excess weight from the trunk of unneeded items, especially heavy ones. An extra 100 pounds in the trunk reduces a typical car's fuel economy by 1 - 2 %.
